Friday 25 March 2011 - Day 39

Ahhhh Friday, I missed you over the last week!

The end of the working week has arrived, and I couldn't be happier.......and more anxious.  Having just tested a couple of the wax strips that will be used tomorrow on my belly, I've got to say that I'm a little worried about any extended period of subjecting myself to that particular type of pain!  While it doesn't seem to last too long, it is such a sharp pain!  Why have I chosen to do this to myself?

Well, the working week has been mildly satisfying, with a couple of faults at work being sorted out at the last minute today....or at least taken to a stage where they are not quite so traumatic for all concerned, and that's a whole lot better than full faults.

Plans for the weekend are, or course, to get waxed <cringe>, and see where the weekend takes me.  I still have a lot of things on the sobriety list that I could spend my time on, so I guess I'll see where I end up.  Perhaps a weekend of finishing the writing items from the list could be in order???

On a tangent, we're watching a National Geographic documentary called The Gospel Of Judas.  Who even knew that Judas had a Gospel.  It seems to be leaning toward Judas not being the evil character that is portrayed in the 4 Gospels of the new testament.  In fact, they make valid arguments that the earlier the time or writing of the Gospel, the less evil Judas is, even pointing out that in the Gospel of John (I think it was John), Judas is not at all painted as evil, but only as another of the apostles.........Interesting how little things can change your view of ideas that have been fed to you for your entire life.

Combined with the Gospel of Mary Magdelane, it really does change my opinion of the Christian histories.  At any rate, if you're interested in reading up on it, I'm sure google will give you more informative data than I can.

Time to organise the weekend.  Here's to everyone having a great weekend, and stop by for a read tomorrow night or Sunday morning to see how the waxing goes.

Bye Friends

:)
