Day 23 (early morning)

I just got back from my morning run.  I keep reading that sweating is a great way to detox after quitting smoking, but perhaps I'm taking it a little too far by getting up at 3:30am every morning to go for a run before getting ready for work.

Having questioned that, it is always great to start the day with a run, it's quite envigorating, and I suppose I need something to stimulate me first thing in the morning (get your mind out of the gutter!) since I'm not having my breakfast smoke.

I've found that exercise in general helps keep me from wanting to smoke and drink.  I bought a bike a few weeks ago, and have been abusing it most afternoons for a couple of hours.  Thank god one of the guys that I work with, who happens to go cycling a lot in general, is living in the same suite as me while we're up here, and is managing to keep me interested in the bike (though the last few days have been bike ride free).

Macca (cycling guy), asked if I'd be interested in cycling from Singapore to Malacca over the easter long weekend, to which my response was resoundingly in the negative (it's 230km each way), but as I was failing to fall asleep last night, I wondered if it would be a worthwhile challenge to see if I could make it..........especially now that I don't have cigarettes slowing me down......I wonder.......
