01 June 2011 - Day 107 [SEC=UNCLASSIFIED]
Good Morning Friends,
Well, I'm 107 days into my hiatus from drinking and smoking and doing marvellously well. Although it's very much worth mentioning that I had a very vivid dream in which I was both drinking and smoking (if memory serves me correctly.....but you know how quickly memories of dreams fade, I'm sure). Either way, while in the dream, I remember thinking that I should feel guilty, but instead thinking that I'd already had a bit of a fail, so I might as well enjoy the rest of the even, and start again in the morning.
Funny how the human mind works. I read something about that very thing and the article suggested that our minds try to give us what we are "depriving" ourselves of in our dreams, which to me sounds like playing pretend, but bless the subconscious mind for it's efforts.
Well, we're but two days away from our sweet home port of Sydney and I can't wait. I'm thoroughly looking forward to catching up with a lot of my friends on Friday night as we celebrate Sarah's birthday celebrations. Then I get to see Kira and Sons on Saturday for lunch, before heading out on Saturday night for Sean's birthday festivities, and then Sunday is the MS Walk and Fun Run, which I get to take part in with Casey and Holly, and that should be good fun. I think Holly has organised a pretty big team, so I'm looking forward to meeting some of the other members of the CBA Mighty Sleuths (the team that I joined, that Holly has organised). A 5km walk to enjoy the day is a good thing, especially for such a worthy cause.
Well, that's about all my news for the moment friends. I hope you're all having a great week, and for those of you in Sydney, I look forward to seeing you all this weekend. If not, I'm certain that I'll see you in the next couple of weeks.
See You soon Friends..
